Soteria's End

by Embracing Soul

/

lyrics

Her heart it weeps,
Stretched upon the floor
grasping for life,
That she feels no more.
A ticking clock fades away.
Becoming silence is not just a figment.
Her life hangs in the balance,
of mind and body, there is nothing left.
The air starts to grow thin,
as fragile life slips away.
Past her lips, to her fingertips,
Death takes hold this day.
Her lips form words
But no voice flows through.
As life is stripped,
and her grip breaks hold.
My love, my child,
I’ve seen you bleed,
Seen you’re hopes
die with your dreams.
As you lie here now,
Soul on the floor,
feel my love,
reach through your core
A tear, she sheds,
Passing o’er her cheek
As her last day ends,
She leaves a future so bleak.
